Kaleidoscope Call for Scores

Kaleidoscope Ensemble in association with CNM

The Kaleidoscope Ensemble is an innovative new local chamber ensemble, consisting of the following musicians and instruments.

Corrina Dolso – soprano

Rebecca Walker – cello/double bass

Mary Blanchard – Flute

Peter Dollimore – Piano

In 2011 we played a short series of well received lunchtime recitals and are now beginning to take bookings for recitals in 2012 and we are looking for scores to be included in our future recital programmes.

I would like to gather a short collection of songs based on the life of Queen Boudica.

SUBMIT ONE SONG which must fit the following criteria.

  • Must be scored for a quartet of soprano, cello/double bass, flute and piano.
  • Duration 2-5 minutes.
    • The text can be sourced from poems, monologues etc or written by the composers although not all songs need to contain words!
    • We have very short rehearsal periods and therefore need scores which are  clear, computer produced

and containing well cued parts.

Dec 31st 2011.

Scores may be submitted on-line (PDF preferred) to corrina.dolso@btopenworld.com or

paper copies sent to22 Milton RoadLawford, Manningtree Essex CO11 2EG.

Entry is free to CNM members, and £3.00 to non members.

Cheques should then accompany scores, made payable to Corrina Dolso.
